Tuesday, April 17 This morning after our first Israeli breakfast, we went to a museum called "Dialogue in the Dark." This exhibit took us through a simulation about what it was like to be a blind person. We were taken through a series of pitch black rooms, which each demonstrated what it's like to be blind in different environments. For example, we went through a room that simulated what it would be like to be in a city while blind. The noises and smells helped us determine where we were. We also had a guide to help us maneuver through room after room. What I found interesting about the tour was that each group was led by either a blind or visually impaired individual. Also, the food in the last room, which was a cafeteria, was served by a blind man. After that, we went to the Palmach exhibit.
